**How to Prepare Raw Herbs**

**Regular Dose **(If you’re not sure which instructions to follow, use this one.)

- Soak them in about 6 cups of water for 1 hour.
- Boil for 20 minutes.
- Strain. This should be about two doses. A dose is 1-2 cups of liquid. Repeat once per portion, yielding 4 doses.
- Take two doses per day between meals.

Note: Depending on the amount of herbs in your formula, you may want to use a little more or a little less water. Aim to have about two cups of liquid after each boiling. If you have a lot of remaining liquid, you can save it for later.

**Full Dose **(Use these if recommended.)

- Strain. This is one dose. A dose is 1-2 cups of liquid. Repeat once per portion, yielding 2 doses.
- Take two doses per day between meals.
